iPod classic volume broken?
 

Hi, friends,
I happen to have an iPod classic here right now. The weird thing is, even if I turn the volume completely down, I still hear music in the earplugs. Is that a "feature" of the classic, or is this one broken?

On the volume bar, when turning the touch wheel, the last 5 mm to the left simply show no more audible difference. That is definitely different to my nano. When the volume is turned down there, it is completely silent.

The volume on my iPod 5.5G 80gig also completely mutes the audio when turned all the way down... if its any help to you to know that. :P

I recall my 1G shuffle being the same (turning volume all the way down doesn't mute it), so I think it's different from model to model (or possibly, firmware to firmware).

Anybody with a classic?

I have a 160G classic and it does the same abu...I'd sent a bug report to apple..probably wont get address but you never know. (they're dragging their feet on the 1.0.3 update)
