"add media to library" not working
ok, im a new winamp user and im sure im making a silly mistake but for the life of me i can't figure it out. I am unable to add my music to the "media library". when i follow the instructions and open <file> <add media to library> nothing happens. the instructions say that by doing this i should be able to add my entire C:music file to the media library. HOWEVER I have no trouble adding all my files to the "Playlist". Shouldn't my files be stored in the media library or should they just appear in the playlist? Please help

In the lower left of the Media Library, select the Library Button, and hit "Add to Media Library..." Select the folder you want from there.

in the media library
library --> add media to library --> select the folder --> hit Add. alternativly drag and drop the folder from explorer into the media library. [e]maybe I should have refreshed[/e] |
ive tried all three of these methods. none of them work. When i click on the library button in the lower left hand corner i get the "media library preferences" option but i never get the rest of the menu that you show in your photo. I just dont understand it. even when i drag and drop, nothing happens.

Still an issue with 5.666 in 2014! :D
I've had three crashes in a row. Brilliant software. Now what version doesn't crash when trying to to a fundamental task? |
Hi Klabois,
Have you tried installing the patches? http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....373755#updates Winamp works well for the vast majority of users. What fundamental tasks are you having issues with? Are you using Winamp the way it is designed to be used or the way you think it should be used? |
interesting comments by Klabois, would also be very interested in some sort of clarification of things...
