mp3 tag cut and paste

I ripped most of my CD collection years ago when i had no access to internet CDDB.
Unfortunately, I never used mp3 tags.
Instead, i typed all the info in the filenames after ripping.
Today, many mp3 players rely on mp3 tags.
I spend a great deal of time entering mp3 tags for my files.
I like the new mp3 tag edit box.
I have this great idea for cutting and pasting multiple items from one mp3 tag to another.
Automatically Save the tag info for the last tag dialog box that is opened (COPY)
When I open a new tag dialog, if I click on the text label "Artist", it pastes the artist from the previous opened tag.
Then if I click any of the other items such as "Album", it pastes the album name from the previous opened tag as well.
If necessary, You can put a button switch "copy/paste" on the bottom of the dialog box to enable this feature.

Assuming you've added the files to the Media Library database,
it'd probably be easier to just select all the files on the same album at the same time,
then right-click one and select "Edit selected items".

In that dialog, you can update all common fields such as Artist, Album, Year, Genre & Publisher at the same time (obviously, you can't do Track# and Title, as they will be different for each track).

For me this is the ULTIMATE tag program.
If something is possible with MP3tags, Tagscanner can do it !
A very interesting feature is that this program can make tags from filenames but also filenames from tags !

AND : it is FREE !!!!

Checkout http://www.xdlab******en/index.htm

Enjoy !

Weird ... for some reason, the URL does not show up in this post ... just google "tagscanner" and it will lead you to the right place ...
