too quiet
I just installed the latest version, and now the speakers are too quiet for any application - a cd, iTunes, Windows Media, everything is too quiet now - and it isn't the speakers, I plugged something else into them. What have you done to my computer?
Have you tried turning the volume up? It's the litle horizontal slider in Winamp. You can also turn up the system volume by clicking on the little speaker in the lower right hand corner of your screen by the clock.
Everything I can find is turned up to the max, but everything is really quiet, but I plug my mp3 player into the speakers and it blows them off the wall. It was fine before I downloaded winamp.
And the volume is turned up in Winamp, the slider is to the right, not the left.

Yes, I get that. All the way to the right. What is actually disturbing is that even iTunes and the Windows Media Player are now quiet as well. The installation has done something to the computer.
So I suppose no-one from Winamp itself actually cares because I haven't paid for the program? But their software has knobbled my computer.

I have to agree. I've recently installed version 5.531, and whilst the volume on ShoutCast streams is fine, Windows Media Player (.ASX) streams sound very, very quiet, even with the volume on full.
