Click between gapless tracks
On many of my tracks that require gapless playback, when I play them in Winamp, there is a small "click/pop" during the transition to the next song. When I play the same files in iTunes, they play with no clicks at all. What's going on here?

Running a SB Live/Audigy sound card by chance? if so.
Otherwise, check a few suggestions here... Gapless Playback http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=158316 No sound, skippy/choppy/crackly playback, high VM usage, etc. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....26#post1212926 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=166479 |
Yeah in fact I am, thanks! I'll be sure to check that link out in the morning.

Hmm didn't seem to do the trick. Any other suggestions? I know it can't be the files because most of them play fine in iTunes (no clicks/pops between them).

Maybe the following post will help...

Tried that, also it's more of a static discharge sounding click, not like the one you hear when something is clicked on Windows.

Maybe this
1. Start button > Run icon 2. type in dxdiag > click OK 3. Sound Tab: > Reduce the "Sound Acceleration" slider to Basic 4. close out of DirectX Diagnostic 5. to be sure change in setting fully takes place close Windows and restart the computer. Still no luck? Please provide Winamp & system specs. |
Preferences > Playback > Playback Tab > Make sure Allow 24bit is UNchecked.
