help! "Winamp encountered a problem" keeps coming back!
Hello, I'm going to be brief. But I hope someone can direct me on how to get rid of this annoying problem I seem to have with Winamp.
I have had winamp forever, and it wasn't until a couple months ago that I've been getting that "Winamp has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." It comes up seemingly randomly but within the first few minutes of running Winamp, sometimes even if I don't play anything. I've read through dozens of other threads on the subject, and followed their instructions but it keeps coming back! I have uninstalled and reinstalled winamp multiple times, tried deleting certain files, like the gen_ff & others under the winamp directory... but this problem always comes back! Very frustrating to have to reinstall winamp randomly (I've done it over 10 times now). Anyone have any idea what I can do? Or am I just cursed from using this program! :P Does anyone know of a good alternative to winamp for the mean time? I really have been missing my music (& I hate iTunes):( |
anyone?..

Please post both your "List Of Plugins" and HijackThis logs. Once we've got that information, then we should hopefully be able to diagnose the problem. Also including more details about the actual error message might help us to help you more easily :-) |
