lost old skin
I recently downloaded a new version of winamp. Now, instead of the great very compact control panel (skin?), I have something that's out of focus and that doesn't seem to include elapsed time or fast forward or fast reverse. How do I get the old skin back? I browsed through a bunch of skins, but was unable to find the single strip I'm used to and like.

Which skin were you using before?
Which skin are you using now? Winamp -> main menu (top left corner button) -> Skins -> ? Winamp Classic Winamp Modern Bento Big Bento Or some 3rd-party skin from winamp.com/skins? Have you tried clicking the windowshade button? (the one just before the 'x' close button, top right corner) |
I have Winamp Classic right now. When I use the windowshade, the player appears smaller but out of focus.

I don't know; I didn't find anything like it in the skins I checked out at the site. It was a small strip that had all the basic commands, but didn't take up a large part of the screen.

Have you tried using WindowShade mode in the other skins that DJ Egg mentioned? Have you downloaded/installed any third party skins prior to updating Winamp?

No, I haven't tried the windowshade for the other skins. I'll give that a try.
