Deleted ini file from Ipod

Hi there,

I have a slight problem which i hope you will help me quickly solve.

I accidentally deleted the ipod.ini file that was on my ipod and which - i think - is necessary for winamp to recognize the ipod and send files to.

So now, when i connect my ipod, winamp doesn't detect anything in the "Portables" section and i can't send mp3 files to my ipod through winamp anymore :/

I tried un/re-installing winamp (and cleaning my windows XP registry so it's a fresh installment) but it doesn't recreate the ini file I accidentally deleted from my ipod.

How can i fix this?

Additional info, my Winamp version is the latest (v5.531.) and my ipod is a 1Gb Nano model. My OS is WinXP.

As explained, I like to transfer my mp3 files to my ipod using winamp but the problem is that it doesn't recognize my ipod since I accidentally deleted the .ini file that was on my Ipod (and which I think is used by Winamp).

Before that incident everything went fine.

I've tried reinstalling Winamp but to no avail.

I'm getting the "slightly-ignored impression" here...("slightly" being an understatement)

How can I make winamp recognize my ipod given the explanation above? In the present state of things, I'm blocked until I get an answer.

Many thank you's.

I don't own an iPod, so I'm not entirely sure what the correct procedure would be...

For my Creative Zen Micro, there's an ml_pmp_device_Creative Zen Micro.ini file in my %AppData%\Winamp\Plugins\ml folder

If it exists, I'm not sure if deleting the relevant/corresponding ipod file (ml_pmp_device_ipod.ini?) will solve the problem
(be sure to make a backup first).

There might also be a [pmp_ipod] section in %AppData%\Winamp\winamp.ini

If there is, try deleting the entire [pmp_ipod] section only.

I don't think there's any relevant setting in the [ml_pmp] section...

Other than that, I'm not rightly sure...
