This is Winamp Tech Support. You're asking in the wrong forum.
You wanna head this-a-way --> SHOUTcast Technical Support

The Shoutcast standard port is 8000

You will need all ports for Shoutcast, most are between 8000-9000 but it could be anything the broadcaster chooses.

The most common for larger stations are 80, 8000 or 8080.

@ Sharpy42

Are you asking this as a SHOUTcaster or listener?

Menschenfleisch 8th April 2008 09:23

As a listener you dont have to open any port
Then you only have to make winamp internet access possible (so that its not blocked by a firewall for example)

Im using as a listener, my firewall is off and i can use it perfectly when back home on the same PC, soon as i get to uni the list wont update and using the website to manually tune in wont play anything.
Thanks tho, i'll try them ports and sorry for the wrong forum :)
