Winamp 5.531 full won't load
1 Attachment(s)
I have used Winamp for about 10 years and genuinely enjoy the program more than any other music player and it is very important to me that I am able to continue to use it. The problem that I'm having is the player simply won't start or load up. The Winamp Agent has no problem sitting in my System Tray, but as soon as I double click the icon it gets the thinking cursor and then goes straight to error. The equalizer shows up but not the main bar or the playlist bar (I usually use all 3) before the error. The error message reads as follows:
Winamp has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. I'm using an HP a1700n with the 32 bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00 GHz with 2942 MB RAM. I'm not sure what the name of the sound card or the video card is, but when I ran the dxdiag program it listed NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE with 1336 MB approx memory and Realtek High Definition Audio with Realtek Digital Output for the speakers and sound with DirectX version 10. I'm running Winamp full version 5.531, but I've tried to use other versions and I'm having the same problem where it just won't load when I try to open it. I couldn't run the One for Nunz because I can't get Winamp to load at all, but I did install that so that would be the only plugin that I am aware of that I have. This is a relatively new computer (about a year old) and I haven't added any plugins to Winamp since I have been using it on this computer with the exception of One for Nunz. I placed the Nunz.exe file in the Winamp.exe file folder and ran the program but no .txt file was generated. |
I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it, and now it works fine.
