Oh no Philly fans!
As a native Philadelphean (who knows how everyone else feels about Philly fans), I give you this:
Philly's Title Drought Turns 100 I converted to DC teams, so I can't really be called a traitor for this! |
Does this mean that they'll boo the easter bunny next year?

My wife and her dad's family are die-hard Philly fans. She hurts, but doesn't know about this yet.
There used to be a zoning law in the city that did not allow buildings to be taller than William Penn's head on a major building in the city (I forget which building it was). The law was taken away in 1983, and buildings were built taller. Many say this ruined Philadelphia - took away something important/special, and blame the repealing of that law for the losses. |
I wouldn't be surprised. A lot of people feel that DC has the same kind of beauty going for it. When a city isn't "built up" it can still retain a lot of the light and "non-corporate" structure that makes a city less comfortable.

The teams I follow are based in Cleveland (Cavs, Indians, Browns). It wouldn't surprise me if they were over 100 non-title-winning seasons already.
