CDDB problems
I could not find a forum topic similar to the one I am typing (unless i'm looking in all the wrong places). If by any chance, there is an identical topic, my apologies.
I am a Last.fm user, and I enjoy playing audio CDs through WinAmp. I particularly love the CDDB feature and I usually receive the tracklistings and artist names almost immediately. In the past week, however, I've inserted a number of audio CDs and I receive "Unknown Artist - Track 1" and so on. When I go to manually type the artist and track names through "File Info", afterwards I click Save and everything I typed has been erased. Also in the "File Info", I can click the "CDDB" button on the side of the window and the titles show up. Unfortunately, when I click "Save", it's still listed as "Unknown Artist - Track 1". I just can't get the titles to show up in the playlist window. I will also point out that I use version 5.35 of WinAmp. This has become a really frustrating problem for me, and I'd appreciate your help. I hope to get it fixed so I can listen to audio CDs again. |

Excuse me for hijacking this thread, but I am having the same problem (WinAmp 5.531 Pro on Vista Home Premium) ripping my Audio CD's.
Eventually I returned to using my stalwort old MusicMatch (on WinXP) to Rip CD's and it found everyone of them. Could the CD Database lookup program become a plugin so that we could choose another, or even stack them? I remember the early days on CDDB when Titles/Artists would often be interchanged.. :) Bryan. |
