Synch portable device crash
 

Hi I have a problem with synching a portable USB device with Winamp pro 5.54 running on xp mediacentre. The device is a samsung mobile appearing as a usb mass storage device.

Whilst synching the machine will encounter some sort of error and restart. On re=starting winamp, despite all the files still being on the device with tags intact, winamp sees scrambled tag information and therefore can no longer synch properly. What i meam by scrambled is that most tracks no longer have an artist (but some do) etc.

The only way i've found is to get over the problem is to remove all the tracks and go again from scratch, which for 8gb takes about 6 hours!

If you can offer any assistance with this i'd be really grateful...
