Now Playing Artist Experience

Allright guys, maybe some of you like it, maybe some of you dont.

well.. sadly i am not a big fan of this option. I was pleased with my old winamp 5.53... because when i minimized it, it wouldnt switch automatically.

Now i have gone through the pluggins, erased everything from the media library section, other than local library and playlist... and the thing still does it.

Please, i want to turn this option off. Anybody, Help!

Hmm, there's no automatic switching to Now Playing feature.
That should not be happening (it certainly doesn't for me anyway).

If you deleted the Now Playing plugin (ml_nowplaying.dll)
then how can it be still switching to a non-existent Now Playing view in the Media Library?

Please explain exactly what's happening, and how it happens?

Which skin are you using?

Is it Bento, and maybe you're clicking on the Notifier which appears above the system tray/clock on track change?

If yes, then maybe it's switching to the Browser tab instead, and you need to uncheck "Open Now Playing on click" under Options menu -> Notifications

The only other slightly relevant option would be:
Options menu -> Multi content view -> File info components:
Open links in 1) Now Playing or 2) Browser

But you'd need to click on the Artist / Album etc in the Info area in Bento for any of that to take effect. It doesn't occur automatically without any user interaction...

Other than that, I'm really not sure what could be causing the problem, or what the problem even is.

Okay, what is happening, lets say i play a song, and i like the band and want to hear another song from the same band, when i click on the notifier at the bottom it comes up in the media library.

Like you said Egg, it shouldnt be coming up, well what happens now is that its going through the browser tab on the media library.

Is there a way to erase the browser from the program, maybe a pluggin, i cant find it under the media library pluggins.

I am trying to kill the whole online system lol...

If you don't/didn't want online media, then you should have UNchecked what you didn't want the first time you installed Winamp but - what the hey :igor:

Anyway, re-run the FULL installer and UNcheck what you don't want in the very configurable installer options...

OK... I think I covered it all. If not, I'm sure that Egg will pop in to add to/correct what I already posted.
