Playlist erased..
I'm new to Winamp, and struggled a bit with the default functionality of "Double-click a song - all my 4000 mp3s are added to the playlist". I managed to lose quite a lot of playlist edits before I finally managed to turn that off in prefs. What is the reasoning behind this design..? Am I missing something?
Anyway, as I'm perfecting my playlist for a party, I wanted to just listen to one of the songs in the library (without necessarily adding it to the playlist.. Tried using "Play selection" on the song.. booom! Once again my playlist was gone, lost... My playlist window now only displayed that one song. At least I haven't been able to recover the original playlist, except an earlier saved version. (Is there a way to do that? ) It feels weird that a program deletes user created data with no warning, I can't think of any other program that intentionally does this. So I think I may be missing soemthing important here.. I tried searching here but haven't found anything so far, hope someone can help or verify what I'm experiencing! |
A playlist is a list of things to be played, therefore to play something it needs to be added to the playlist. The reasoning behind that is that is the definition of a play list. if you want to make customer playlists and save them you can do that in the Playlist section of the Media Library.
