Winamp Preference - NOT save
 

Running Winamp 5.54 on WinXP sp2

I notice that apart from remembering the current skin, all the changes I made to Winamp, preferences, etc..... none were saved properly, Each time when I restart Winamp, everything just load back to the default. It is a 100% loss on setting.

I read some other thread, regarding the issue, none seems to work... Even googling doesn't return much useful information. Is this a very rare case? :( ... Anyone faces the problem?

I read the.... how make a winamp.ini inside winamp directory, and having the Install WInamp for ALL USER.... but I really couldn't get that appear in the installer, (INstall for all user.. no such option appears) I found the winamp.ini in the %appdata%\winamp folder......... it is not Read-only checked... but still really wonder why..... all the setting would lose.. (Not faulty plugin, winamp is closed properly, by exiting with click on the "x" button) ...

..... feels like I'm not really in luck of to find a sound solution for it.... hopefully, it seems the problem is not common? Else I assume would return many result from google..... ? :( Hopefully somebody would help out in this matter... losing all the setting is a really pain... is it just me?

sorry.... Somehow Miraclely, it seems to work properly after the recent reinstallation.

the cause still remain unknown... btw.. so far haven't noticed what really changes during the reinstallation helps solve the bug...
