Please help. Need advice with sync problem
 

Could anyone please help?

I have a Zen Sleek 20gb which I'm trying to sync for the first time.

To my surprise, although there are around 3000 files on the device itself, for some reason when I sync with Winamp (v5.531) I end up with around 2750 files carried over.

What happened to the other 250 songs?!

I looked into the missing files & from what I could tell, they where completely random. Might it have something to do with renaming files in winamp? Editing the files name etc might be messing up the file?...

I'm no expert so could someone please help?

I really hope I don't have to look for a more reliable product so I can sync my files reliably as I really like Winamp.

I would rally appreciate a response from anyone who's had a similar problem with any device and not just the Zen Sleek.

If not, could anyone reccomend a suitable alternative to Winamp excluding both Real Player & Windows Media Player.

i don't have a zen, but the sync function will sync what you want to sync to the player. if their was 250 files that you didn't tell winamp to sync, then it'll remove them off the player for you.(otherwise peoples players would run out of space from old tunes.)

maybe you just need to update your media library, or not use the sync function and just add the files from the "right click --> send to" function
