media library playlist entries with japanese filenames/id tags...
recently, there's been an annoying glitch with the media library playlists. when I first add a song with a japanese filename and/or tag, it would display and work properly. however, if I unfocus that playlist (such as by closing the player, or clicking another playlist), the japanese characters get replaced with ?????
the ones with english filenames still work fine, and will display properly when it's playing. files with japanese characters in their filename will just not work unless I re-eneque it or manually change the location in the playlist entry this apparently wasn't always the case, as I have an old playlist in my media library with some of the same files, and it works perfectly fine any ideas? =/ |
nevermind, I managed to solve the problem
for anyone else who has encountered a similiar problem, I went into the media library directory (winamp5/plugins/ml) and converted the playlist file in question from m3u to m3u8 (m3u doesn't support unicode) |
