Not listing albums in order
Is there any reason why this latest version of WinAmp would be screwing with the song order of albums? Now the version I was using before, 5.5.0.1640 (and the one I still have stored away in .exe form) did not do this, but in version 5.5.4.2165, the media library lists in the form album>artist>album number. This might work fine if all my albums had the same artist throughout the whole CD. However that's almost never the case with techno stuff.
http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/2...0000006bs8.jpg Here is an example of my problem. Since most of my albums flow into each other, listening to them out of order really sucks. Is there anyway to get it to stop doing this? Oh, I guess I should have looked more carefully before I posted, but I just noticed not all of my albums do this. And it has nothing to do with file name (Artistname-#-title.mp3), it seems to do this at random. I'm completely lost now. |
I really really hate bumping my own thread but I seriously need some help guys. I'll be DJing a radio station online with winamp soon, so I need to figure out whats wrong.

Multiple artists on the same album are best handled by using the 'Album Artist' tag.
Select all the tracks on the album and right click > Edit selected ... > tick Update. Enter an overall name for the Album Artist - Various Artists, Compilations, January Shortlist, what you will ... and Go. This should pull all the tracks into one album, properly ordered, instead of a collection of diverse fragments with the same Album name. UJ |
