CAB Setup and Vista

Hello everybody,

I am looking for help regarding Windows Vista and the CABSetup Pluging. The installer I created is 2.65 GB data, I have to use 5 CDROM sized cabinets. I have one problem regarding the installation on a Vista Machine (tested on Vista Home Basic 64 Bit and Business Premium 32 Bit)

As soon as I want to install the programm in any other than the default path ($programfiles\NameOfProgram) on a Vista machine, the .cab-files are not extracted. The Installer only extracts the files in the .exe file and exits, giving no error message.

I am logged in as admin, there is enough space in on the drives, the installation works fine in the default directory, I am using version 1.3.0.0 of the CABsetup Plugin.

Does anybody have a clue why this happens ?

Thanks in advance

Prota

Please make sure you are using version 1.3.1.0 of CABSetup - version 1.3.0.0 has a bug that could manifest as odd failures under Vista.
