Strange error message when exiting Winamp
Hi!
I have googled, searched the forums and the rest of the site to no avail. Hope I'm not double posting. Whenever I exit Winamp, a strange error message appears. I use Swedish Win XP Pro and Winamp localization, here's a rough translation: "winamp.exe - program error The instruction at "0x734caa93" refered to the memory at "0x035a3070". A memory procedure could not be executed. The following error message was returned: The memory could not be 'read'. (Last sentence is in English, with the hyphens around "read".) Click OK if you want to terminate the program. Click Cancel if you want to troubleshoot the program." Troubleshooting takes me nowhere, the process ends whatever I click. The error message appears nowhere else and my system is quite stable. It has appeared since the last couple of versions. Winamp works just fine apart from this and it is no big deal, just annoying. Is there a solution? Thanks beforehand! |
Isn't there anyone who knows anything about this or want to investigate? Nothing in the event log and it happens every time I exit Winamp.

have you searched for a solution?
have you read the faq? have you tried a clean reinstall? do you have a plugin list? that error message doesn't give any useful information. |
I get that same error: and I have installed Winamp onto a clean installation of WinXP MCE. The error appears three times, about 30 sec after the close of the window. I have checked the Event log, but all that is shown is that a message box was displayed, not who caused it to happen or why. Again, it has only been since I upgraded (to stop that DAMN "Upgrade to Winamp 5.whatever" WINDOW FROM POPPING UP OVER THE CONTROL WINDOW. IF I _WANTED_ TO UPGRADE, I WOULD HAVE GONE TO THE WEBSITE TO DO IT MYSELF!!!!
