Another Ignorant Question

I have looked but can't seem to find the right thread can someone point my dumb ass in the right direction?

I saw a really cool embedded player I would like to use from streamsolutions.
I assume (ass u me) the server IP is the 127.0.0.1:8000 and I can't for the life of me figure out what FMS Path is.

So when you guys are done laughing at me, please point me toward the right thread.

Thanks!
Scott

You are trying to use the flash player for our flash media servers, (Flash Media Server only)

You cannot use that player only the real or windows embedded players will work,

ps were not laughing at you, we all started somewhere ;)

Bummer, I was looking forward to using that.
I got the other two to work on some computers but on others neither one wants to work. Guess I just need to hold my tongue in the right position...
Thanks again, you guys have been great!

you can use the Flash player just not their code generator ( as it is designed for Flash servers ).

use something like

PHP Code:

<embed
  src
="http://www.streamsolutions.co.uk/flash/streamsolutions_player.swf"

width="300"

height="20"

allowfullscreen="true"

allowscriptaccess="always"

flashvars="file=http://127.0.0.1:8000/;stream.nsv&type=mp3&height=20&width=300"
/>

Only change the IP and Port leave all the rest the same.

Remember only works for MP3 as you do need a Flash server for AAC+ streams. You will find a browser memory leak unless you use Flash stream server which is down to the Flash plugin so you can not do much about it.

with flash player 10 the memory leak does not seem as bad.
