Is there a way to not automatically create a playlist when I select a song? If I search for a song and then play it, it gets moved to the playlist(along with the rest of the search results). Then when I clear the search, it only allows me to play the songs on the playlist. Basically, can I search for a song, play it, and then continue playing from my whole library? I've checked the help sections and the forums and tried all the options I could, but couldn't find the answer. I apologize if this question is already answered, but I could not find it.

No. The playlist editor window has a list of files to be played. Therefore if the file is to be played or is being played it is listed in the play list.
