Playlist gone :o

Hey

this has happened a few times before, but has just rectified itself, but this time it seems to be persistant

When i loaded winamp previously (i have it docked to the bottom of my screen, with the playlist pane on the right), it loaded up ok..then i pressed the play button on my keyboard (shortcut to winamp play) and it started playing

i then looked at winamp to choose a different song and none of the songs are listed in my playlist pane..

it still plays the songs, in the correct order, and in random..

i have tried reloading the playlist, and my backup playlist..but nothing there still..and when i do load the playlist (as i have the songs in alphabetical order by artist), it doesnt go to the first song it should be..it goes to a random song...where it should normally go to song 1 in my playlist

there are about 5500 songs in my list..but i would doubt that the number of songs would have an impact

what can i do to get my playlist back, other than to add the songs to the playlist pane again by click+drag etc?

Try undocking and/or a different skin.

Sp00neyG 8th December 2008 20:21

undocking did it :)...hmm...why didnt i think of that

sorry for wasting your time, but thanks for the help :)

JonnyMac 8th December 2008 20:47

You're welcome :)

That was a issue with earlier versions of Winamp (prior to 5.54). After updating, sometimes undockingn the docking back (if desired) was needed to ensure the fix fully took place. For a moment I was worried the issue was creeping back.
