Aluratek AIRJ01F/conflict w/5.541

I recently connected an Alratek USB jukebox to my machine running Vista. Everything was fine until I restarted the machine and opened winamp to listen to some radio stations not on the jukebox.
All hell broke loose when winamp detected the jukebox. It could decide if it was Aluratek or a blank CD and toggled back and forth. Everytime it toggled, it opened up an Aluratek.exe window. They kept opened as fast as I could close them.
I stopped it with TaskMgr but when I tried to run the jukebox again I got a "product validation failed" error in the Aluratek window.
I finally removed all my applications and reinstalled them one at a time with the jukebox connected, turning it on an off each time. When I reinstalled winamp 5.541, the problem started again.
So for now, in order to use the Aluratek jukebox, I winamp has to be closed and to run winamp, the jukebox has to be disconnected because winamp detects it whether it's turned on or off.
I'm stuck with Windows Media Player until someone can help me resolve this problem. I've been using winamp since it's inception and I really hate to give it, but I've made the decision to keep the jukebox.
They're support department is aware of the problem. As a former tech myself, I tried to isolate this to the best of my ability and make sure it wasn't just "cockpit error".

It would seem as though the Aluratek AIRJ01F is a standard generic usb device....

Unfortunately the Aluratek plug-in doesn't allow changes. It's strictly plug and play.
The good news is that your input helped me find an easy work-around. I reinstalled winamp and unchecked "portable devices" before downloading.
While it still detected the jukebox as a CD (and identified it by brand name) and tried to initialize it, I told winamp to "eject" it.
So far they seem to be co-existing.
Thanks for the help.
