Unable to skip until notification disappears.
 

When I pause/play/skip a song, the notification for the song pops up. This is a useful feature for me. The problem comes when I want to skip while a notification is still visible. My pause/play/skip buttons don't work until the notification completely fades away. Is this normal behavior? Is there some way I can enable "rapid-succession" skips?
