Winamp opens and immediately closes when External Drive is connected to PC
 

I have uninstalled/reinstalled the latest and greatest.
If I disconnect my external drive, it works fine.
My external drive houses my music...that's not fine :(

Seagage FreeAgent Go is the device.

Please help...I prefer Winamp over any other music player and really do not want to have to revert to those 'other' players.

it is probably the mode that winamp is reading the drive
if you can move the pmp_p4s.dll from (c=main drive) c:/programfiles/winamp/plugins/ to a seperate folder (best is to create a folder within this one) and wianmp load and the drive is recognized you will be set
but if winamp loads and it does not recognize the drive it means the drive is in mtp (media transfer protocol) mode and you will need to see (either by others with the hard drive or by the companies forum) to transfer it to msc mode (mass storage class)(like a flash drive)
if this fail i would no longer be able to help you
