ipod discnumber problems
hey, sorry if this is in the wrong forum... my apologies if it is.
Recently got an ipod 120g classic. Syncing works quite well with winamp, and i like using it much much more than itunes; however i'm having a fairly serious problem. I have numerous multi disc albums, all properly tagged. That is, i use the 'discnumber' tag to label the proper disc; all other tags are the same across the multiple discs. When syncing with itunes, these tags are handled properly. The files are listed from, say, 1 to 15 for disc 1, and then 1 to 15 for disc 2 on the ipod. When syncing with winamp however, its like the discnumber tag doesnt even exist. The files are listed as such: disc 1 track 1 disc 2 track 1 disc 1 track 2 disc 2 track 2 and on and on. Does anyone know if there is any way to have winamp sync these multi disc sets correctly? Oh and just so i'm not asked, i am using the most current version of winamp and all related plugins that come with it. |
Have you tried the auto-tag feature? That should be able to catalog the file by disk # and track #.
When I took a look at a number of songs in my collection, some of them were listed with a disc and track number. Just a thought - drop a note back and let us know if it was successful. |
