Major Problems with Ver.: 5.541
 

I just downloaded the latest and greatest version of Winamp,
(Ver.: 5.541) and have had problems with my browser,
(Firefox Ver.: 3.0.4)now takes forever to load, with or without Winamp as the search engine.

The Winamp problems I have is first and foremost, I cannot bring up my media library, and second I cannot see my iPod.

I tried downloading the new version of Winamp a second time and then reinstalling with the same results.

Unfortunately, I don't have the previous version to fall bqck on, so at this point in time, audio on my PC is dead.

Please advise or at least tell me where I can get a copy of the old version of Winamp...

first uninstall the search engine from add/remove programs in control panel and see if that helps performance
second (if you don't see any change)uninstall winamp down to the core (deleting all leftover files after uninstall(this includes the program file folder winamp and/or the one in your profiles application data))
then reinstall choose only the features you want (make sure you uncheck the search agent when it pops up(since it seems to give you trouble)) and you should be set
