Mp3 Help Please

1 Attachment(s)
Please forgive if posted in the wrong place, I have been going round and round in ever increasing circles without finding a solution to my problem.

Recently I copied my ELO discography collection to me computer and made a personal back on CD, both in MP3. Now when I upload tracks to my MP3 player they sound absolutely terrible. Full of bubbling or like thick custard boiling. (best that I can do)

But when I play them on my computer some play fine and other players pick up the problem.

Gom and media player classic are OK while Winamp and WMP are not.

Is there something that I can do to these to get rid of the noise ?

If this is out of place please move, but I would really appreciate advice, help or pointing in the right direction Have attached a small sample

What exactly is the zip file for?

I thought I would send what the file sounded like, as found it difficult to explain.

What did you rip and convert the tracks with? It looks like they were compressed with LAME, but perhaps with some silly attempt at copy protection?

Anyway, try re-ripping the original CDs again, and this time use a proper ripper and verify the intermediates.

edit: the MP3 is not corrupted, so the problem must be in the first step of ripping (i.e., reading the CD's raw audio).

Which software did you use to rip?

Note: the file sounds terrible here. Rip the files again.
