Kona is pretty good. I've had a Kenyan blend at one time that was pretty damn good. Wish I could remember the exact type.
|
I can't tell the difference between various brands so I get the cheapest available. I do think coffee made with expensive machines generally taste nice, but I can't afford those. So I'm stuck :)

I get a monthly shipment from Citizen Bean.

I don't drink coffee. I just drink stuff at Starbucks.
|
Cheap and instant, please. I hate real coffee.
Wally, you're doing it wrong. :p |
Coffee's for closers

i'm one of a few people who cant stand (almost) any kind of coffee, tea maybe when i'm dying of cold,
i'm willing to drink iced coffee, either just cold or as a slushy (grated ice?), the manufactured ice coffee here is obviously a cheap imitation to the real thing, but i find the real thing too bitter for my taste, no matter how much sugar i put in it, i will just puke it later, so thats a good alternative for me... my mom drinks black coffee, from our local (israeli) company called "elite" (we spell it elit), they have recently bonded with strauss, a worldwide name, so for that i'm sure the US has elite's products too.. i really dont know why coffee is such addictive, does the caffeine in it have something to do with it? is it the fact that you feel dependant on it just to wake up? (much like cigarettes), i have noticed people just get angry (not pissed) if they dont have coffee in the morning, like drugs, do you people see it like that? |
It's a drug.
|
Depends on my mood.

Have tried many, but always come back to good ol' Eight O'Clock Whole Beans:
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...A280_SH20_.jpg Strong and black. Keep the beans in the freezer and grind as needed. But I also have to say I really enjoy a good cup of café noire from any café in Paris! :D |
Jamacian Blue Mountain.
Coffee is quite addictive (well, coffee is not, but the caffeine is). Speaking personally, the dependency on coffee to wake up is psychological and nothing more. Every so often I've spent a good several days without coffee and seem to wake up at the same rate with or without it. Having said that, I still drink about three to four cups a day, which is significantly down from my liter a day. I used to smoke when I was younger and I have kicked that habit. I actually found that quite easy to do and I had been smoking a lot (little under a pack a day) for quite a few years (six or so?). Having said that, caffeine withdraw is an utter bear. On the days that I do not drink coffee, I need to make sure I get something with caffeine by noon, or a massive headache will ensue. Sure, you can go about two to three days without caffeine before you go into withdraw ... and that withdraw blows. |

It seems coffee threads are pretty much an annual event.

I have a machine from the late '80s from Mr. Coffee, and a couple bags of Gevalia in the freezer, but neither Renee nor I drink coffee. We just have it for overnight company. We'd never get them out of bed without it.

Tim Hortons is the only coffee that I will buy when I am out somewhere (mainly when I visit Toronto). Being in a border state and city to Canada, I do find myself across the border frequently and have had Tim Hortons on both sides of it. There is a difference between the US and Canada, and Canada's is clearly better. :) |
I use a non-descript espresso machine. I've found that Costcos coffees are a good bang for the buck ($9 - 3.5 lbs) labeled Seattle House lately.
If I'm going to splurge, I get Kenya AA ($14 a pound) from BJ's coffee company here in Hillsboro, Oregon. It's a small coffee chain/custom roaster. Probably the best coffees I've ever had. |
Coffee is disgusting... caffeine is goood tho. Bourbon & cola (alcohol and caffeine) is my drink of choice, although it doesn't serve well for a before work pick-me-up. (It's probably better I make sense at work, and I can't drink less than 6...)
Or maybe a cola demon (h t t p : / / w w w . d e m o n e n e r g y . c o . n z / p r o d u c t s / k i l l a - c o l a - 4 4 0 m l) As for a hot drink I'd go for a hot lemon, or a blackcurrant, or a milo. Shrug. |
I drink Friele Coffee every freakin day. Many times a day. The whole day. Continuously.
|
Did you like Starbuck's coffe?
|
Starbucks....... bland bile for yuppie idiots.... acceptable only if you're only other choice is Folgers.
|
Being a coffee snob is fucking awesome.
Douchebags. |
It's not our fault you have no taste buds.
|
Sure, have a preference, just don't be a douchebag about it.
Not directed at you, btw. Moreso rockouthippie, Wally etc. Poor form. |
If you want to talk about poor form, look at your own posts. Asshole.
(that's pretty mild compared to your posts lately) |
Iomega, you've taken a perfectly innocent "I like this, I hate that" and turned it all nasty and personal (just look at your sig...)
|
Welcome to me, new guy.
Wally, Seattle has two "t"s, it can keep its sewer water, and screw you. |
