Winamp Crashes At Load
i think ive figured out the problem, but i cant get winamp open to fix it, is there any file i can delete that will reset the configuration of local media in winamp?, or maybe a way to safe-mode it?
i dbl click the winamp icon, the player window will load up first, but then just before the media library loads winamp will crash. |
ok after i reinstalled winamp, everything works, except now in the media library, local media shows a blank grey window, i click audio same thing as well as with video, but yet the playlist editor is working fine and showing all the music i have loaded, what would cause this? winamp was working fine until today

Hi. We would need to see your List Of Plugins & HijackThis logs:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....d=161361#specs You could try this: Close Winamp Go to the %appdata%\winamp\plugins folder Open gen_ml.ini in Notepad (probably best to make a backup copy of the file first, just incase) Look for these lines: query1_meta=met4135.vmd First try just deleting the met4135.vmd part, leaving just: query1_meta= Repeat for all other lines, eg. query2_meta= query3_meta= etc etc Save gen_ml.ini Go to the %appdata%\winamp\plugins\ml folder Rename default.vmd to default.vmd.old Reopen Winamp If the problem still persists, repeat the above, except this time remove the whole query1_meta=, query2_meta=, etc lines. Still no joy, then please attach the logs. |
i seem to be missing the gen_ml.ini file, i will try another uninstall/reinstall maybe my files were corrupt or something odd like that, i even did a system search for it heh, but yea i'll reinstall and let you know what happens
