Cannot get correct listener count

I have my radio site with players on one domain, & the Shoutcast server on a dedicated server. Our listener counts are always low. People tell us they are listening but they are not being counted.

We are configured properly AFAIK.

Any suggestions on what might be the problem? I'm not a techie, but have an idea about configuring things. My host set the Shoutcast server up. The config file looks fine.

Some people I know listen to Shoutcast via I-Tunes and don't always get added to the listener numbers - not sure why though

Thankyou. There always seems to be people telling me they are listening, but the counts don't confirm it. I guess nothing is perfect.
