Ipod - some album names resemble song titles
Hi. I've been using the ipod plugin in Winamp for several months now and I am glad to use pretty much anything that is not itunes. I have some issues, however, that I cannot resolve after consulting many forums and help sites (including this one) I finalle decide to make an account so I can ask my questions.
here are some specs of my computer. OS: Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 3 CPU: AMD 64 2.39 GHz 1 GB Ram Winamp version 5.551 Device: Ipod Video 30GB 1) When I upload my songs to my Ipod, some of them are assigned an album name, which is exactly the same as the title of the song. I try to edit the file by erasing the album name in the file properties as well as in winamp. With no assigned album name, the ipod displays the TITLE, ARTIST, and ALBUM even when there is no album name assigned to the file. I tried removing and adding the song again, which didn't help. Any suggestions? 2) Every time I want to sync my ipod, winamp crashes. I tried some suggestions such as uninstalling and installing winamp, and it did not work. Any way to fix this? 3) Some songs do not appear in the ALBUMS folder on my ipod. I for example have a couple songs by Sum 41 but only one appears when I go to MUSIC>ARTISTS>SUM 41 (note that there is no album selection in the ARTISTS menu as it should be) there is only one song. Any suggestions? Help is greatly appreciated Best Regards, Damian |
