Video is jumpy
 

I recently bought a new laptop with Vista. I am not sure if the problem I am encountering is a vista problem or winamp problem.

When I watch some movies/dramas online (steaming), the image is rather jumpy. Meaning it is not smooth flowing like it should be. It was fine when I watch the same movie from the same site using another application. But when I play it on winamp, the problems persisted. I have uninstall and reinstall 3 times, and the problem doesn't seem to go away.

Can someone please advice what is the problem? The other application that worked is VLC. But on the website where we watch the movies, it was said that winamp is a better application for PCs than Mac.
