Playlist mixer/editor

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Winamp and this is my first post. I'm after a playlist editor that will allow me to mix tracks so there is no blank in between songs. Does Winamp have this option or can anyone suggest one that does?

Thanks

Vijay

"..no blank in between songs.."
I'm not quite sure what you mean with this, but is there a chance you mean that you want the "emty-space" between songs away, ie. you want the few seconds between songs with no sound away?
If so, you may try a thing called "Crossfade (between tracks)", and edit the value of seconds for your taste. This is a thing found on most Modern Skins, in the Equalizer. What this thing does, is that it goes from one songs to another SMOOTHLY. If you set the option on 5sec for example, the next song will start playing when there is only 5sec left on the current song playing.

Thats probably not what you are looking for, but anyway... ;)

Hi,

Yes that's what I want to get rid of, the silence in between tracks. I was hoping I could do it with a playlist editor as I'm sure I read somewhere that was possible.

Heh.. Well try using that "Crossfade" feature then. It should work. As I said, only Modern skins have this, and you find it in the Equalizer. If you want it for Classic skins as well, there is some plugins out there that can do it though.. Or btw, there might be a option in the Winamp Prefs somewhere, so it might be possible with Classic skins too.. Anyway, I'm glad I could help ;)

Or, you could use gapless playback. For more info on Kn0tte's suggestion click here. Either one will do, it is a matter or preference.

Thing is won't that do it for every album it plays? I'm only looking to do it on certain albums which is why I hoped there was an option in a playlist editor.
