song info
I started using winamp today and I like it, but what I can't seem to figure out is when I edit the song info through winamp, it dosn't change the info where the file is being stored. It only changes it on the winamp page. How do I go about fixing this. thanks

What file types?
Preferences (Ctrl+P) > Plug-ins > Input > Double click "Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder..." > ID3 Tags tab > Check both options under "ID3 Tag Writing" and "ID3 Tag Creation" If that doesn't resolve the issue: Information required when posting (my_plugin_list being teh biggie here) |
Sorry for the lack of info. In my music file I have a lot of unknown artists, so when I imported my music I auto-taged the songs that were unknown and it found all the info. But now if I right click the song on winamp, view file info, all the basic info is filled in. But on the top of the box it still says C:\Users\Public\Music\Unknown Artist\Unknown Album\03 Track 03 3.m4a. Is there a way that it could write this info where the main files are stored so when I go into my music folder it won't be listed as unknown artist. I checked the plug-ins and the boxes were checked.. thanks

You want Winamp to rename the actual filer? It doesn't do that.
