View file information
 

I'm not certain what caused this to happen, but I only get very basic file information when I choose "View file information" in my playlist on .mp3's.

It's got a file name with NO directory list to tell me where it's at on my hard drive, Title, Artist, Album, Comment Genre, Year, Track, Update button and Ok button.

I've got a few tracks that are .m4a and they show me an information window which is what I remember seeing for my mp3's. Full path on file location, full track information, Format information, artwork tab, auto-tag button, etc.

I'm looking at converting my whole collection over to whatever m4a is so I can get this information, and I'm really not keen on doing it.

Anyone have any insight?

You installed some bunk third-party MP3 decoder, probably MP3Pro (maybe mpg123 or MAD). Preferences > Plugins > Input > find it and hit Uninstall.

Or the classic full uninstall and reinstall
