Drag and Drop won't work on Vista64
 

Hi, I've just downloaded and installed Winamp 5.551 on my Vista 64 system. Unfortunately I cannot drag and drop files into the playlist, the drag and drop feature simply does not work on this system. Oddly on another identically configured system, I have no problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I don't think I can abide Media Player any longer.

Have you closed Winamp since installing it (i.e. after first run)?

Drag+drop doesn't work for programs running in admin mode.
The installer runs in elevated/admin mode, therefore so does Winamp first run.

If it's not that, then make sure "Run this program as an administrator" isn't checkmarked in:
winamp.exe (or shortcut icon) -> Properties -> Compatibility tab.

Maybe you needed to run it in admin mode for whatever reason
(e.g. for Winamp Pro registration, File Type association, etc)?

Thanks, I did close it, uninstalled and re-installed several times but the results were always the same. I'll have to re-install again and check the tabs.
