Another error message thread...

The instruction at "0x7c9101b3" referenced memory at "0x774eef3e". The memory could not be "written".

that pops up every time I open Winamp. I get the choice to hit ok and close the program or hit cancel and debug, but they both just close it. Is this a Winamp thing or my computer?

Maybe this...

Dodgy third party plug-ins or modern skins can also cause the error message.

Otherwise, please provide Winamp & system specs.

how would i go about finding my specs and such?

JonnyMac 30th April 2009 00:26

Start button > Run... icon > type dxdiag in the box and click OK
The System tab will list Windows version, computer model, CPU/Processor (and speed) and the amount of Memory

Display tab will show the video card name

Sound tab will sound card or chip name
For the most part, the plug-ins list and HijackThis log are most important. Click on the specs link for information of posting plug-in list and HjT log.

Or, if you would rather try the following instead. A full uninstall > reinstall (AKA clean install) of Winamp is usually cure-all for strange issues. However, if you have no luck with that, please post the specs.
