Can't sync iPod 3G
I have WinAmp Pro version 5.52 and downloaded the ml_ipod 3.08r3 plug-in to be able to sync the iPhone 3G, but the phone is not recognized as a portable in Winamp. Is there something I need to do to make WinAmp see the device after installing that plug-in? This is on a Vista Business PC and the PC sees the device fine, so does iTunes (on another PC it's not installed on this one.)I dread the thought of having to use iTunes...
Thanks!!! |
I ran the "selftest" executable I found in the ml_ipod directory and got the following from the debug.txt:
=== init() === Thu Apr 30 12:02:40 2009 ml_ipod version 3.08p03 (lang=en) WinAmp version 0x0 PRO Windows version 6.0 (build 6001) platformId=2 os2k=1 = Vista mlipod_folder = C:\Program Files\Winamp\plugins\ml_ipod artworkDllsLoaded = 1 registry lookup HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\QuickTime : QTSysDir registry key not found, trying local copy QTMLClient.dll: C:\Program Files\Winamp\plugins\ml_ipod\QTMLClient.dll QTMLClient.dll not found, no iPhone/iTouch support Sure enough, the QTMLClient.dll file does not exist in the path noted. I already installed the ml_ipod 3.08p3 (twice). Am I missing something? Thanks for any help!!! |
Ah, ok. So being the "genius" that I am, I discovered I needed to have Quicktime & iTunes installed for the necessary library files. Yuk. anyway, got it working now. Thanks for this plug-in!
