Winamp does not start up ffdshow for mp3/audio-files, but it did work days ago...
 

ok hello.

i have a problem:

winamp (actual version) does not start ffdshow when i try to play mp3-files.
i already changed the entries (added mp3 in the directshow dll and removed the mp3 from the mp3 dll (do not know the exact names as i am at work now)).

ffdshow is set up correctly too. it worked well for a couple of months, until i installed arcsoft totalmediatheatre and windvd. i removed both programs, but unfortunately this didnt solve my problem. unfortunately tuneup utilities erased my restore-points in windows xp, so i was not able to get my old configuration back.

when i try to play a mp3-file, winamp starts up, but does not play the file as ffdsho does not start with it.

are there any codecs or whatever that disturbs the startup or use of ffdshow for audio(didnt try fdshow for video)?

any other solutions?
