Minor but irritating weird bug
 

Recently, for no apparent reason, my copy of Winamp v5.552 has begun displaying files by Modified Date when I access the Open File(s) menu instead of by Title. I have not altered any settings and cannot find a setting to alter it back. The only thing I can do is use the right-click menu to switch it back to to viewing alphabetically by title every time I access the menu. I have a rather extensive library of video and audio files, so in order to find files quickly it's best to have the listing by title, and it gets annoying have to switch back to it regularly.

This did not occur immediately after any recent changes to the computer. It just started doing this during normal operation all of a sudden.

Winamp uses the standard Windows open/file dialog boxes, so it is actually a Windows thing and not a Winamp thing. However, there is a fix, in the Open File box set the order as you prefer. Then while holding the Ctrl key click on the close button [X]. That will force Windows to remember the sort order.

Thanks much. Can be quite misleading as to what exactly the problem is when it only happens with a specific application.
