Taskbar showing when video is in fullscreen

I am not sure what is causing this problem and have tried just about everything to remedy the issue.

I have some videos in a playlist and will enable full screen to watch them. For some reason, the first episode will play in fullscreen without an issue, but when the second episode plays, my toolbar appears at the bottom, overlapping the fullscreen and I can only view the entire fullscreen if I exit out of fullscreen and enable it again. Even when I do re-enable it, the problem continues with the next episode and so forth.

I have toggled nearly every option under Video Options in Preferences, but the problem persists. After a Google search on the issue, I think the issue may stem from DivX. I have noticed that when I play these videos, presumably, they have been encoded with DivX or Xvid and the DivX settings manager will appear in my system tray once the video playback starts. I have a feeling that the fullscreen "semi-exits" on each new video because of DivX, but I have no idea how to correct this or if this is really the problem.

Any help with this would be appreciated.
