Elapsed time speeds up for music CD's
My winamp works wonderfully except for when I am playing a music CD. Normally the elapsed/remaining time is accurate, but for music CD's it tends to be unstable, rushing at varying rates (I compared the time display with a stopwatch). But the real problem is that a song is stopped whenever the elapsed time reaches the length of the song. So, for example, when I play a 4:00 song from a CD, it will stop playing somewhere around actual time of 3:20ish because winamp's calculation of time decides that the song has ended. I tried many other CD's with windows media player and it was fine. I am not sure since when my winamp has been malfunctioning because I rarely play CD's on my laptop. And yes, I tried reinstalling and searching the forum without success. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks in advance.
