Frequent Random Crashes Makes Winamp Unusable

The problem is exactly what I titled this thread, since I upgraded Winamp I've been getting crashes at random times (that don't even have anything to do with one another, like minimizing Winamp or clicking around outside of Winamp or removing one song from my playlist) and they've been getting more and more frequent so that now I can't really use Winamp at all. And I'll admit it, the popup asking me to upgrade to the latest Winamp version finally got to me as I had been using an older version of Winamp for who knows how long, but I decided while I was at it I'd go ahead and check out a few plugins after I upgraded to the new Winamp. I don't think a plugin is an issue because out of all the plugins I tested out, I uninstalled everything but LyricsShow and a user made modern Winamp skin called Blue VU Skin that I found. And no I haven't tried to uninstall either the plugin or the skin or the Winamp program altogether, so maybe I should try that first (though it seems kind of annoying to have to reinstall everything)? Moreover is the random crashing a common issue with this version of Winamp (so maybe I shouldn't have tried to fix what wasn't broken and should have kept my old Winamp)?
