Hmm, my imageshack thumbnail didn't work. I've fixed the link now.

Juanus 28th November 2009 22:42

Koopa, Thats the simple image query. we can do that. If you look at the image, it shows album art without any text at the bottom. Just the album art covers. I think thats what the previous poster was refering to.

Juanus 28th November 2009 22:51

And while we are at it, I wonder whose music collection they keep showing for that screen shot. It's been different a couple of times and the person has good taste in music. From Nirvana to Pearl Jam, Matchbox 20 and (i hate) Weezer. In the previous version it had The Flaming Lips and some other great albums I cant remember, but I remember thinking, "Are these all Time Warner albums?"

Koopa 29th November 2009 00:09

It wasn't clear, what exactly he was asking for.

My screenshot looks nearly the same, just that I have the album name at bottom of each album art. The rest is the same.

The screenshot is probably made by one of the AOL web guys.

MrSinatra 29th November 2009 03:44

Juanus is correct...

the screenshot they use doesn't show the album name, and the art itself looks bigger than what i can get in my winamp.

J_Darnley 29th November 2009 10:52

Album Art display is not affect by the search query. You all want "Large Icons", press the buttons at the top of the library.

Juanus 29th November 2009 11:26

with all due respect... the comments have been from experienced users so far. We know how to do the simple album art view, and we know about large, medium and small icons, details and no details. The comments center around the screenshot on the front of the page and the fact that it represents something that you cannot do.

You cannot show album art WITHOUT the text labels at the bottom.
You connot have different sizes of album art in the same pane. Like how the Pearl Jam art is bigger than the rest and makes the covers non symetrical.

That's all. Koopa was right... The screenshot is probably made by one of the AOL web guys.

Obviously a clip from Windows Media Centre :)

Squadman 29th November 2009 15:39

Any reason why the download button on the main page says 'Download Winamp 5.57 Media Player'? :P

Koopa 29th November 2009 15:52

J_Darnley:

You have to enable 'Standard Album View' in the query builder, then you can use the 'Large Icons' option.

If you need more specific changes in the builder, then only depends on your local organization.

Juanus:

Also possible, that the image was manipulated by Photoshop. ;)

Squadman:

It was a mistake, like pointed out before.

J_Darnley 30th November 2009 09:27

Right, I see, it lacks text. Also, my post makes less sense without the post that said "please share that query", or similar, which appears to have vanished into the ether.

MrSinatra 30th November 2009 09:32

i'm confused... are you guys saying you know how to config winamp to display album art without album titles underneath?

also, "large icon" is not as big as their screenshot. in fact, its not what i would call "large" at all. they should allow you to set the max pixel size in prefs while maintaining aspect ratio.

Juanus 30th November 2009 13:12

No. The picture on the front screen is a photoshop mockup. Or something along those lines. You cannot do what is pictured on the front screen.

byblo 30th November 2009 13:24

Or use the Album List plugin by Safai...

Just use a simple album template for smart view, then right-click on the column headings and check "large icons" or "medium icons". (At least that's how I did it).

MrSinatra 2nd December 2009 19:13

that doesn't do do what we want. we know how to do that already, thats not what we're talking about.

Oops....sorry. Somehow I missed the 5 or 6 posts between the one I quoted and my post....hmmm.

I'll just go away now.
