setting the interval to reads out MetaData
hello
I Been working on a project to build a streaming solution and its pritty much there but i ran into a bit of a problem. I rely on winamp to give me the timing for my MetaData. now for most content thisworks really well. but fir the really short tracks like sweepers and jingles oh only a second of so this doesnt work. unfortinantly i need to be able to time even tracks that short. shoutcast shows the tracks in its track list and the metadata shows up in the stream (when looking at it thru wireshark) however winamp doesnt seem to want to updat quite that realtime. Is there a setting for this? note: i tryed setting the meta interval in the shoutcast config to 512 bytes which seemed really small compared to the 8192 that it is by default but it didnt seem to help. |
well i managed to fix it by switching to icecast for some reason its more acurate in its metadata
