Is it possible to convert only one part of a long MP3 file into WAV(by Winamp or anything else)?
Thank you in advance |
Hey I can do this one I think....
The easiest thing to do in my opinion would be to convert the whole thing into .wav, and then use a program to shave off the sections you don't want before and after the selection you do want to keep. Microsoft Sound recorder that comes with windows should be able to do it even. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/eek.gif Xerxes http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/eek.gif |
Using Winamp with the DiskWriter Output, couldn't you just move the seeking bar to the point where you want to start converting & click "stop" at the point where you want it to end ?!?!
Okay, so the seeking slider doesn't appear until you click "play". The way round this is to click "play" then "pause" whilst the WaveOut plug-in is still active. Now move the slider to the point where you want to begin converting. With "pause" still on, goto Prefs -> Output & change to DiskWriter. Take the pause off & click "stop" at the desired track position. Voila : WAV = created Remember to change back to WaveOut for playback. Your other alternative is to get CDex [Freeware Ripper] which has the facility to do exactly what you want ! Although, Xerxes method will also do the job perfectly okay ! ------- DJ-Egg |
