Album tracks and grouping
New Winamp user here, so please bear with me.
How do I keep album tracks together? For example I ripped R.E.M. Out of Time to WinAmp and it displays 3 entries in the album list: R.E.M. R.E.M. Feat. Kate Pearson R.E.M. Feat. KRS-One This has been replicated on my HTC Desire. Is there a setting to sort this out or do I need to edit the album/track info? Thanks in anticipation. Darryl |
Something similar here.
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=320669 So, what you need to do is set the Album Artist to REM, but leave the Track Artist alone. 'REM - Out of Time' should now appear as one entry in the album listing, while the individuals still show in the Artist listing. UJ |

Hmmm the Album Artist is already set to R.E.M.

What you have to do is tell the Winamp Library to display a list of album artist(s) instead of a list of artist(s). Winamp interprets that if there is no info under "album artist" for any given file, then for that file, "artist" is the album artist, so you don't have to worry about filling in info or anything.
